In the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 to May 21, 2026), tax revenues in Iran decreased by 30% compared to the same period last year (March 21 to May 21, 2025).

According to FinFly, this was reported by the Iranian National Tax Administration.

"In the first two months of the current Iranian year, tax revenues amounted to 1.52 quadrillion rials (approximately $1.2 billion). Compared to the same period last year, tax revenues fell by 30%. In the same period last year, tax revenues were 2.16 quadrillion rials (approximately $1.66 billion)," the statement said.

According to the data, three years ago, tax revenues for the two-month period were 610 trillion rials (approximately $469 million), and two years ago, they were 1.25 quadrillion rials (approximately $961 million).
