This was stated by Zeynal Naghdaliyev, Assistant to the President and Head of the Department for Territorial and Organizational Issues of the Presidential Administration, at a meeting on the development of cotton growing held as part of the discussion of the State Program for the Development of Production and Processing of Agricultural, Fish and Aquaculture Products in Azerbaijan for 2026-2030.
According to him, the investment volume estimate is based on an analysis of initiatives put forward in the areas of crop production, livestock, fruit growing, poultry farming, fishing, potato growing, rice growing, and processing industry.
Naghdaliyev reported that, on the instructions of the President, broad discussions of the draft state program have been held since June 12 in 13 economic regions of the country.
"The discussions involved 350 representatives of central executive authorities, 3,608 heads of large farms, agro-parks and processing enterprises, as well as 607 representatives of local structures of relevant departments. Thus, a total of 4,565 people were involved in the discussions," he noted.
According to the presidential aide, during the discussions, 51 heads of large farms and agro-parks put forward a total of 72 initiatives.
