According to FinFly, some ticket categories have become cheaper.
According to the information, the price of a "comfort" class ticket for a one-way trip on the Baku-Tbilisi route has been reduced from 81 manats to 78.80 manats.
Changes have also been recorded for other fares: on the same route, "comfort+" class tickets fell from 117 to 112 manats, and "luxury" class tickets from about 180 to 177 manats.
In this regard, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC reported that ticket prices for Baku–Tbilisi–Baku routes are set based on an international calculation mechanism.
It was noted that tariffs are formed in accordance with the exchange rate of the Swiss franc to the local currency as part of settlements with Georgia. In other words, changes in the Swiss franc exchange rate directly affect ticket prices.
