On July 31, the five-star Baku Resort & Spa hotel opened on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan.
The event was attended by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and First Lady Aigul Japarova, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and First Lady Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow.
Ramin Guluzade, the Azerbaijani President's Affairs Manager, briefed the heads of state and first ladies about the hotel, built in the village of Kara-Oy in the Issyk-Kul region.
It was noted that Baku Resort & Spa was constructed under the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on investments in the construction of a five-star hotel on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, signed in Bishkek in 2023.
The hotel, covering a total area of more than 17 hectares, is designed as a unique space where architecture, culture, art, gastronomy, wellness, and recreation harmoniously blend.
The complex features 111 rooms and 10 cottages, accommodating 330 guests.
At the initial stage, the hotel is planned to provide jobs for 255 people, some of whom are Azerbaijani citizens.
Health and recreation are key aspects of the hotel's concept. Guests will have access to indoor and outdoor pools, a water park, and a beach, all designed for year-round use.
Gastronomy is an integral part of the hotel's operations. The full richness of Azerbaijani culinary traditions will be showcased here. Various hotel restaurants will serve national dishes, including traditional Azerbaijani breakfasts.
To create interesting leisure opportunities for guests of all ages, the resort is equipped with extensive entertainment infrastructure: a bowling area and other entertainment games, a cinema hall, and a multifunctional outdoor sports court for various sports.
The hotel offers modern facilities for international conferences, corporate meetings, and business and social events.
Elements reflecting the beauty of Baku and the rich cultural heritage of Azerbaijan give guests a sense of harmony between national traditions and modernity.
The location on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, the world's second-largest high-altitude lake and one of Kyrgyzstan's most precious natural gems, along with the area's high tourism potential, further enhance the significance of the hotel complex.
