As a result of operational and technical measures carried out by the cyber police, suspects in these acts – 31-year-old Logman Jabizade and 20-year-old Elvin Mammadov – were detained.
During the investigation, it was established that these individuals used artificial intelligence programs to edit photographs of women taken from social networks TikTok, Instagram, and Telegram, adding offensive content. They then distributed these images on social media through fake accounts and demanded various sums of money from the victims for their removal.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Main Department, and the detainees have been brought to criminal responsibility.
It should be recalled that with the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies, photographs and videos published on social networks can be altered, edited, and used by various individuals for illegal purposes. In this regard, citizens are advised not to share personal photos and videos with strangers, and not to trust suspicious messages and offers.
