The security system and design of the 100 manat banknote, dedicated to the theme "Economy and Development," have been updated within the existing concept using the latest technologies and innovations.

The updated banknote features state-of-the-art security elements, including a color-changing hologram with a 3D micro-mirror effect; a unique Spark Flow Prime element (a dynamically emitting light effect and color-changing manat symbol); a watermark (showing the state emblem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the denomination numeral when viewed against light); an element for the visually impaired (special raised lines on the left and right edges of the obverse side to verify authenticity and denomination by touch); a vertical design (the reverse side is designed vertically, following the latest global trend in banknote production); a security thread, invisible printing, microtexts, and more.

The updated 100 manat banknote bears the signature of Taleh Tahir oglu Kazimov, Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, located in the upper left corner on the obverse side.

Currently, all cash handling systems and equipment used in the country have been adapted to work with the updated 100 manat banknote. The updated 100 manat paper banknote will circulate in parallel with the existing banknote of the same denomination and will be accepted as a means of payment without restrictions.
