According to information, the discussions took place at a meeting between the leadership of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and representatives of the World Bank Mission on Financial Inclusion for Job Creation and Economic Growth (FINGROW).
The meeting discussed the goals of the FINGROW program, its scope, the activities envisaged under the program, and the role of the Central Bank in this initiative.
In addition, the meeting exchanged views on the FINGROW program's support for expanding financial inclusion in Azerbaijan, increasing financing opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses, promoting digital payments, deepening financial inclusion, and improving the credit guarantee mechanism.
FINGROW is a multi-phase World Bank program designed for the Europe and Central Asia region. The main goal of the program is to support entrepreneurship development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth by expanding access to financial resources.
