The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) have discussed prospects for cooperation, FinFly reports citing the regulator.

According to the information, CBA First Deputy Chairman Aliyar Mammadov met with IFSB Secretary-General Dr. Ghiyas Shabsigh, who is in the country for the 51st Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group.

"During the meeting, the dynamics of financial sector development were discussed, and an exchange of views took place on initiatives being implemented to expand financial inclusion and enhance sector resilience," the statement said.

The meeting also reviewed cooperation prospects in mutually beneficial areas.
