September futures for Brent crude oil fell by 0.18 percent to $71.99 per barrel on the London ICE Futures exchange.
August futures for WTI crude oil rose by 0.09 percent to $68.75 per barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).
