Hikmet Hajiyev, aide to the President of Azerbaijan and head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said in a comment to Turkish broadcaster Haber Global that Armenia's constitution must remove an article that contains territorial claims against Azerbaijan and Turkey.

According to him, incoming signals indicate that Armenia is beginning the process of adopting a new constitution.

"After these territorial claims are removed from the constitution, Azerbaijan sees no problems for signing a final peace treaty. Moreover, a de facto peaceful situation already exists in our region," Hajiyev said.

The presidential aide also touched upon the fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan:

"At a table where Turkey is not present, Azerbaijan is present, and at a table where Azerbaijan is not present, Turkey is present. We resolutely respond to every step directed against the interests of our countries, and this will continue in the future."
