Azerbaijani Railways continues construction of the Aghdam–Khankendi railway line, which will become one of the new transport routes in Karabakh.

Currently, design work is 90% complete, and construction and installation work is approximately 44% complete.

Along the railway line, which has a total length of 30.8 km, construction of 130 engineering structures is planned, including 6 bridges, 5 road tunnels, 2 pedestrian crossings, and 47 reserve crossings.

Conceptual designs for the Aghdam and Khojaly stations, which will be built on the Aghdam–Khankendi railway line, have been completed. Construction of the Khankendi railway and bus station complex is progressing rapidly.

The commissioning of the Aghdam–Khankendi railway will make an important contribution to improving transport accessibility in Karabakh, the socio-economic development of the region, and accelerating the process of the 'Great Return' from Baku to Khankendi.
