Azerbaijani law enforcement has detained 23-year-old Ramil Feiziev and 22-year-old Elchin Abdullazade, suspected of organizing cyberattacks on foreign information systems.
The investigation established that the detainees illegally accessed servers of foreign websites, gained control over administrative panels, stole confidential data, uploaded their own software, and took control of the resources. Subsequently, they arranged the sale of the captured website administrative panels.
During the investigation, it was found that Feiziev illegally interfered with 2,300 foreign websites, and Abdullazade with 179.
A criminal case has been initiated. Operational and investigative measures are ongoing by the cyber police in cooperation with law enforcement agencies of various countries.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded about criminal liability for illegal interference with information systems, their seizure, and sale.
