This was stated by the head of the State Migration Service, Vusal Huseynov, while answering journalists' questions during a media tour.
According to him, before introducing artificial intelligence in government agencies, it is necessary to comprehensively analyze its capabilities and risks.
"We work with a large database of personal data. Therefore, it is necessary to correctly identify the areas of application of artificial intelligence and assess all risks. At the same time, the Action Plan for the Transition to Digital Government, signed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, also sets tasks for government agencies to implement artificial intelligence," he noted.
Huseynov noted that at the initial stage, the most realistic area for applying artificial intelligence could be electronic appeals and call centers.
"A user asks a question through an electronic resource, and it is no longer an employee but artificial intelligence that provides this information in an easy-to-understand form. I believe this is an area that can be implemented in the near future," emphasized the head of the SMS.
According to him, another important area is the use of intelligent tools in processing migration data, risk assessment, and planning processes.
"We have a large amount of data, and artificial intelligence can help us analyze it, identify trends, and determine which issues need attention," said V. Huseynov.
The head of the SMS added that currently, cooperation with relevant government agencies is underway in this direction, and the feasibility of implementation is being assessed in terms of technical, financial, and human resources.
Huseynov also reported that the State Migration Service organizes free training for foreigners covering the Azerbaijani language, culture, and basic knowledge about the country for their integration. According to him, the training is conducted mainly online, and when a sufficient number of participants are gathered, it is also organized in person.
The head of the SMS noted that the service provides support to asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants on legal and practical issues, and regularly holds meetings with entrepreneurs, higher education institutions, and communities of foreigners living in the country, facilitating their integration.
