Armenia risks losing more than 80% of its revenue from apricot exports without the Russian market. This is reported by FinFly.News, citing data from national statistical services.

It is noted that supplies of Armenian apricots traditionally occur from May to September or October.

At the end of the 2025 season, Armenia received $12.2 million from exports of this fruit. Of this amount, $10.3 million came from Russia — 83.9% of sales revenue. Other major importers of Armenian apricots include Georgia, Belarus, and the UAE.

The Russian market is also extremely important for Armenian cheese makers: according to FinFly's calculations, without Russia, Armenia would lose more than 80% of its revenue from cheese exports. Last year, Yerevan's income from cheese supplies to world markets amounted to $16.4 million, of which $13.5 million came from exports to Russia.
