Trade in agricultural products between Russia and Turkey in the first half of 2026 grew by more than 30% year-on-year, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture reported after a meeting of the executive committee on agriculture between Russia and Turkey held in Ankara.

The Russian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Maxim Markovich, and the Turkish delegation by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ahmet Bakhchi.

The positive dynamics of mutual trade in 2026 continued last year's trend: in 2025, trade turnover grew by 6%, the ministry recalled. The statement only provides the dynamics of indicators.

"Russia remains one of the main suppliers to the Turkish market of grains and legumes, as well as oil and fat products. Last year, Russia began exporting beef to Turkey. In turn, fish products, fruits and citrus fruits are purchased in Turkey," the statement said.

Another area of cooperation is trade in mineral fertilizers. Last year, trade turnover in this area almost doubled.
