Kyrgyz airline SkyFru has operated its first regular flight on the Bishkek–Moscow route. The carrier's aircraft landed at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport. This was reported by Rosaviatsia on August 5.
"SkyFru, a new Kyrgyz carrier for Russia, has operated its first regular flight. Today, the aircraft from Bishkek landed at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport," the agency said in a message on the Max messenger.
Rosaviatsia issued permission for flights on this route in July. SkyFru will operate flights between Bishkek and Moscow three times a week — on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The carrier will use Boeing 737-300 aircraft. Departure from Domodedovo Airport is scheduled for 12:30, with an estimated flight time of about four hours. The first return flight of SkyFru Moscow–Bishkek was fully booked: 147 passengers, including two children, checked in. The aircraft's load factor was 100%.
Domodedovo Airport organized a festive welcome for passengers of the first flight. At check-in, guests were treated to refreshments and had the opportunity to take memorable photos with an ethnic ensemble in national costumes. The arriving aircraft was greeted with a traditional water cannon salute.
With SkyFru entering the Bishkek–Moscow route, the destination is now served by five airlines: Russian carriers Aeroflot and Ural Airlines, as well as Kyrgyz carriers Avia Traffic, Aero Nomad Airlines, and SkyFru.
