The document provides for expanding the list of legal entities exempt from paying customs duties in Azerbaijan.
According to the document, the import of goods from the Alat Free Economic Zone to the main customs territory of the country is exempt from customs duties for 15 years from the date of establishment of the SEZ legal entity producing or processing the goods, subject to the following conditions: the goods must be wholly produced or sufficiently processed in the Alat SEZ in accordance with criteria established by the body determined by the relevant executive authority; comply with the nomenclature of foreign economic activity approved by the body determined by the relevant executive authority; at least 50 percent of the volume of goods must be exported outside the country.
The law enters into force on January 1, 2027.
