Currently, about 20 low-cost and hybrid airlines operate direct flights from Baku to more than 20 international destinations. Thanks to carriers such as Wizz Air, Pegasus Airlines, Air Arabia, flydubai, flynas, and others, passengers can travel directly to Budapest, Rome, Istanbul, Tashkent, Dubai, Sharjah, Antalya, Aktau, and other cities. A variety of fare options and flexible flight schedules allow travelers to choose the most suitable option based on their budget and trip purpose.
In 2026, the route network continued to expand with new destinations. FLYONE Asia launched regular flights to Tashkent, and FLYONE began flights to Chișinău. Additionally, starting in October of this year, Wizz Air will open direct flights on the Baku–Bratislava route.
Attracting new airlines and developing the route network are part of Heydar Aliyev International Airport's consistent strategy to expand its international route network. This not only provides passengers with a wider choice of destinations and fares but also helps strengthen Azerbaijan's connectivity in the international air transport system.
