Yemen's Ansar Allah movement has claimed responsibility for a strike on an oil refinery owned by Saudi Aramco in the city of Jizan.

This was stated in a statement by the movement's military spokesman, Yahya Sarea.

"The armed forces (Houthis - ed.) successfully carried out a drone strike on the Aramco refinery in Jizan, achieving a direct hit," the statement said.

It was noted that the operation was carried out in response to the incursion of Saudi drones into the airspace over the provinces of Saada and Hajjah.
