Azerbaijan's strategic currency reserves increased by $0.7 billion (0.8%) in January-June 2026, reaching $85.8 billion.

As reported by FinFly.News, this was announced by Taleh Kazimov, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, at today's press conference.

"These reserves are sufficient to cover imports for 40 months. Overall, the country's currency reserves are 3.4 times higher than the broad manat money supply (M2 monetary aggregate)," he noted.
